Planning to go away on a business trip? Get organised with this business travel checklist. Oh yes and it assumes you are flying with a single carry-on case. 😉

Pre-Departure

  • Passport.
  • Cash in local destination currency.
  • Cash and/or credit cards.
  • Inform bank and credit cards companies if traveling abroad.
  • Reservations and itinerary.
  • Hotel contact info.
  • Hotel loyalty card.
  • Frequent flyer card.
  • Transportation tickets.
  • Printed copies of tickets and emergency information.
  • Rolling luggage/garment bag to go in the ‘overhead’ locker.

Everyday Items

  • Wallet!
  • Business cards.
  • Smart phone.
  • Tablet.
  • Chargers.
  • Travel apps: eg. Airline, Tube/MTR, Underground, where to eat, etc.
  • Camera, memory card and charger.
  • Headphones.
  • Laptop, its sleeve and its charger.
  • Network cable.
  • Electrical adapters.
  • Guide books and maps.
  • Travel pillow.
  • Eye shades.
  • Ear plugs.
  • Reading material to download to tablet.
  • Umbrella.

  • Clear toiletries bag to store in carry-on.
  • Travel bottle set.
  • Hair brush.
  • Toothbrush and paste.
  • Floss.
  • Deodorant.
  • Soap.
  • Make-up and mirror.
  • Daily facial moisturiser.
  • Body lotion.
  • Shampoo and conditioner.

Before Leaving Home Checklist

  • Check-in online with airline.
  • Print out boarding pass (just in case your smartphone dies of battery!).
  • Leave your itinerary with a trusted friend.
  • Pre-pay bills that will be due whilst you’re away.
  • Unplug unneeded appliances.
  • Turn off heating and air conditioner units.
  • Turn down water heater.
  • Lock all doors and windows.
